Our Story
From a Garden Centre to Your Backyard
Rory started building ponds and water features back in 2010, working out of Van Beek's Garden Supplies in Oakville. What started as a passion project quickly grew into something bigger. Customers kept coming back. Referrals kept rolling in. Before long, the build schedule was packed solid.
For a while, Rory also ran The Pond Shop at Van Beek's, a spot where customers could pick up aquatic plants, pond supplies, and get hands-on advice. But as the demand for design, installation and maintenance work grew, something had to give. Keeping a retail operation running while juggling a full build schedule meant neither got the attention they deserved.
So in 2016, Rory made the call to go back to what he does best: designing, building and maintaining water features full-time. The retail shop closed, the brand evolved into Natural Impressions Waterscapes Inc., and the focus shifted entirely to hands-on contractor work.
It was the right move. Since then, the business has grown steadily through word of mouth and repeat customers. Today we serve homeowners all the way from Hamilton, across the entire GTA, and even as far as Wasaga Beach. We're busier than ever with scheduled seasonal services, new installations, and restoration projects.
The team has grown, the truck is always on the road, and Rory still personally oversees every single project. That's something that hasn't changed and never will.
What We Do Today
We design, build and maintain custom ponds, pondless waterfalls, natural stone fountains, and landscape lighting. We also restore and bring back to life neglected water features that other companies have given up on.
